Bars come and go in the French Quarter but this was the most diverse, with college kids, bikers, and Latinos all dancing to the best jukebox. It is now a tourist sandwich shop.
I adapted the "Le Chat Noir" Black Cat design to use for several graphic designs some time back and it was well received by some friends here in New Orleans. Most who are black cat owners. So they asked I continue to use the elements for fests and other designs. Seems the little cat is liked by many people and I have again made it for Jazz Fest 2012 with a change using a fleur de lis behind his head in the image rather then the sun circle in the original. Below is that design and a few of the other black cats I did for those friends who love to see him in unusual places.
About the Author My name is Jerry (J.K.) Schwehm, and for many years I have written under the pen name Bingoman. The name "Bingoman" originated in one of the early internet chat rooms. Whenever someone answered a question correctly, I would type "Bingo!" Other participants began calling me "the Bingoman," and the nickname stayed with me.
